If you do visit us by vehicle please drive slowly in the village. Our school is in close proximity to St Peter’s Church and the safety of children at all times is of paramount importance.
St Peter’s Church, Fordcombe is located on the B2188 (Spring Hill), approximately 4.5 miles west of Tunbridge Wells, Kent. The entrance, via the Lych Gate, is 100 yards to the north of Fordcombe village centre opposite the garden of the Chafford Arms public house.

From our nearest major towns (all distances quoted are approximate values):
The north – Tonbridge, Kent (8 miles).
From Tonbridge (B2260) proceed south and join A26 (at the top of Quarry Hill traffic from A21 merges from the right). From the A26 turn right onto B2176, Bidborough. Continue forward through Bidborough to Penshurst. At Penshurst the B2176 merges seamlessly with the B2188, continue forward and proceed south passing Forge Garage to the left. Cross a narrow bridge. Proceed forward then after downhill section cross a second narrow bridge. Proceed up steep hill and arrive Fordcombe.
The south and east – Tunbridge Wells, Kent (4.5 miles).
From Tunbridge Wells proceed west on the A264. Pass through Langton Green (Texaco Garage, The Hare Public House, All Saint’s Church to the right). After 50mph speed limit sign turn first right signposted East Grinstead A264. Take first turning right (200 yards), signposted B2188 Fordcombe Penshurst. Proceed straight ahead and arrive Fordcombe.
The west – East Grinstead, West Sussex (11.5 miles).
Proceed east on A264. Pass through Hammerwood, Holtye (golf course on left), Ashurst (pass under the railway bridge), Stone Cross (small hamlet). After Stone Cross proceed forward then turn sharp left on B2188 Fordcombe Penshurst. Proceed straight ahead and arrive Fordcombe.
In common with most historic churches there are no parking facilities at the church. During normal church service hours parking is available in the village centre (B2188) and Chafford lane.
We request that you observe parking restrictions and show due consideration to our neighbours; allowing them free, unobstructed and safe access to and from their properties.
There are limited footpaths to the church entrance from parking areas. Although distances are short please ensure you are clearly visible to all road users and, for their safety, closely supervise young ones and older folk.
